ISLAMANAD - British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson was seen on Thursday taking selfies with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.
Soon after the meeting of the PTI chief with the British foreign secretary, the social media wing of PTI became active on social networking sites to build up Khan's image as a leader showing how British parliamentarians were among the fans club of Khan.
Khan selfies with the British foreign secretary were also uploaded on official Facebook page of the PTI. "Chairman Imran Khan along with PTI leadership met with British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Boris Johnson in Islamabad today. Even Boris turned out to be an Imran Khan fan and could not resist taking a "Khan-fie", says a statement on PTI's official page.
In a statement issued by PTI's Central Media Department, Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Secretary General Jehangir Khan Tareen were also present in the meeting that was held at the British High Commission in Islamabad.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and the issues regarding Pak-Britain relations, regional situation, the security situation in the region and the issues of mutual interests came under discussion, it said.
The statement said that Johnson showed his inquisitiveness over the Panama Leaks case, and as a result, the PTI delegation briefed him about its point of view on the issue. The Kashmir issue also remained part of the discussion and detailed deliberations were held on the outcome of the Indian aggression and its hawkish designs, the statement said.
